2011 season begins
Kicked off the 2011 season this past Saturday night at US24 speedway in Lake Cicott, Indiana. 22 restrictor class machines on hand, Jerod was fortunate to have just two cars in his qualifying session and clocked in 4th quick. That set up a 2nd place finish in his heat race. He went on to pick up the checkers in the dash for cash. That put him on the pole of the feature, but some issues shuffled him back in the running order and he eventually retired from the event.

Finally back to racing
After regretting not going to Fort Wayne, JGRacing was back on track February 5th in Grand Rapids. We had some new indoor setups we wanting to try. We made strides in the right direction and feel like we have room to still improve our program. This was a wing and non-wing event. Qualifying did not go well in either class due to an engine that would not fire without a push, which mean we took to the track with a cold engine both times. In the last chance races, we were able to win the non wing event and had to pull off during the winged event. The non wing a main was going very well and we had the car close to being dialed in. During a late caution, while running 4th, the brake completely boiled the fluid. Indoor racing is impossible and dangerous without brakes so we were forced to retire from the event. We had another problem in the wing feature that made us retire from that event as well. Even though the results don't show it, we were very pleased with the day.

Past two weeks
After several rainouts, Jerod has been able to compete the past two weeks nights at US24 speedway. On Friday night August 6th there were 14 cars in the restrictor class and he was able to finish 9th in the feature. On Saturday night August 14th there were 13 cars in his class and he finished 11th in the feature on a slick track. Thanks to all for their support of JGRacing.

Catching up
It has been a wet and crazy summer. I hope to get back to updating things weekly here. From what I can remember Jeremy ran the Rushville nationals a few weeks ago and finished 15th in a 31 car field. Two weeks ago Jeremy failed to qualify for the first leg of the Rumble series in a stout 40 car field, but was able to come home
10th in the Sr non wing class. On July 10th, Jerod ran in the restrictor class at US24 speedway as he continues his rookie season in that division. He came home in 14th place in the feature event.

May 8th Miami County
Jerod was in a 20 car field of restrictor cars at Miami County. This was his third time running the 600cc car and first of 2010. He ran 4th in his heat race and after several unsuccessful attempts for the restrictor class to get their feature started, it began to rain ending the evening wet once again.
